1. Why is my newly listed business marked as Private Pending Verification?
To protect buyer trust and eliminate directory spam, every business submitted via the 4-step wizard or the REST API is initially saved with verification_status = "pending". While pending, the profile is strictly private and visible only to you (the business owner) and Teeya Directories administrators. Once an Administrator verifies your listing, it immediately becomes public with a Verified Trust Seal.
2. How do business logos and initials work on Teeya Directories?
In Step 1 of the 4-Step Business Listing Wizard, you can upload your official brand logo file (PNG, JPG, WEBP, SVG, GIF up to 2MB) or paste a direct logo URL. All pre-verified brands on the platform display their official graphic logos. Only in the case where a user does not upload or provide a logo does the interface automatically fall back to rendering the business's 2-letter initials.
3. How does the directory recommendation and pagination system work?
Official Teeya platforms and Featured/Sponsored businesses are pinned at the top of the directory, while all other verified businesses are randomly shuffled on every page load so every verified business enjoys fair organic discovery. To keep browsing fast and responsive, the directory renders 20 recommended businesses initially and lets visitors click "Load 20 More Verified Businesses" to progressively load subsequent batches of 20.
4. What is the difference between the Starter Free Tier and Paid Subscriptions?
The Starter Free Tier ($0/mo) lets you list 1 verified business with up to 3 services, website click tracking, and 2 API secret keys. Upgrading to Growth Pro ($29/mo) or Scale Enterprise ($99/mo) unlocks multiple business listings (10 or Unlimited), Featured Spotlight badges, direct WhatsApp click-to-chat buttons, the Customer Lead & Enquiry Inbox, verified owner replies to customer reviews, and city-level discovery telemetry.
5. How do Account Secret Keys (tyd_...) and Vendor Admin Keys (tyd_admin_...) differ?
Account Secret Keys (tyd_...) belong to individual merchant accounts and allow the user to sign in via /login?secret=tyd_... or manage their own businesses via /api/v1/businesses/. Vendor Administrator Keys (tyd_admin_...) are separate administrator-only keys used on /api/v1/admin/accounts/ to create or delete user accounts and provision a brand-new tyd_... secret key for each newly created user account.
6. Do Administrators use a separate dashboard to verify or delist businesses?
No. Administrators share the exact same unified directory experience as regular users, with an inline Admin Moderation Queue tab unlocked in the workspace sidebar and direct Verify & Publish / Delist controls on every business detail page.
